WEEK TWENTY FOUR:

Monday, January 25
Someone's project of some kind apparently. It has been on "display," outside of the Fine Arts building for quite some time now. I quite like it, though I'm not sure of it's exact function and I'm pretty sure it had something a little more than just sitting there.

Tuesday, January 26
I'm always looking for a good pattern. I knew my beverages wouldn't let me down. Thanks guys.

Wednesday, January 27
My main squeeze, if you will. I don't even want to talk about this one, because what I was going for totally didn't work. Whatever.

Thursday, January 28
After my seminar class on Thursday, I came home to see that a neighbor had dropped off this toy/contraption for the little one. She was in love with it. Almost as much as my shoes.

Friday, January 29
Little Miss C and I took a drive out West toward Treemonton on Friday afternoon to get out of the house and hopefully see the sun shining somewhere. We were unsuccessful in seeing the sun, but I did see this patter of power lines going off into the distance and was fond of it.

Saturday, January 30
My friend Tony's Bel Air he's restoring. Looks like a lot of work. I hope he has the patience for it, because I know I sure wouldn't. Good luck Tony.

Sunday, January 31
I wanted to document my required texts as of late.

WEEK TWENTY THREE:

Monday, January 18
Thanks to my sister-in-law Corrie's birthday, I was able to enjoy some sushi on Monday. Oh sushi, where were you during my youth? I'm so glad I found you...even if it was so late in life.

Tuesday, January 19
Greenhouse up on campus. I used a small filter effect on this.

Wednesday, January 20
I had to take shots of eyes to use for my Drawing II class and so I used this shot for my photo for this day.
I wanted to do some experimenting with different filters on this shot and I ended up with this one.

Thursday, January 21
I snapped this shot after my seminar class. It was a really foggy night and was a great night for an outside shot. Also, the fogginess and the snow on the ground made for a dramatic black and white image.

Friday, January 22
This semester I'm taking a basic printmaking class and I LOVE it! Every time I go to class, it just feels like I'm going to Rad Craft Night. Even though it's early in the game and really basic stuff so far, it's really interesting to see the process of how to make a simple print.
On Friday I was in the print studio working on getting the right amount of ink on my print, in order to produce the values of light and dark that I was looking for.

Saturday, January 23
This is what the average Rad Craft Night looks like from an aerial view.

Sunday, January 24
After church and Cambria's afternoon nap and snack we decided to go for a drive and to stop by and see the ducks at First Dam and of course, she loved it.

WEEK TWENTY TWO

Monday, January 11
First day back in class. Felt good.

Tuesday, January 12
Another Threadless picture.

Wednesday, January 13
It's funny that the older I get, the more pictures are in my books...I thought it was the other way around ;-)
For the first time ever, I can honestly say I love my textbooks!

Thursday, January 14
Admittedly a last minute photo, though I was pleased with it.
I think I'm going to start experimenting more with lighting for portraits, etc.

Friday, January 15
Frost has been EVERYWHERE lately! And not just in the morning, but throughout almost the entire day in some spots. It's crazy and awesome. It's like a smoggy winter wonderland up in Logan right now.

Saturday, January 16
I couldn't help but take another frost shot, I just think it looks so cool. I really like this image because on this day, the frost actually began to melt with the sun and you could tell which side the sun was shining from in the photograph.

Sunday, January 17
A shot of Logan from Wellsville at Hallie's mom's and step dad's house. The gross air is pretty thick right now. The other day I was only walked outside for around 20-30 minutes and my throat and lungs had a slight burning sensation the rest of the day. We've got some storms that are supposed to be coming in this week and hopefully they will clear all the bad air out for a while.

WEEK TWENTY ONE:

Monday, January 4
Ok, this week I shot a lot of photos of Little Ms. C, so what? Deal with it. I also have two night pictures of the local ice rink. I shot it during the day last week with the intention of getting a night shot this week. The first shot for this week wasn't my favorite and later in the week, I stumbled upon a better view and so I shot it again.
Bath time. One of the best times of the day for the Little Ms. She LOVES water...and her bath toys.

Tuesday, January 5
Image one of the ice rink at night. Truly I like the tree in the background more than anything in the foreground.

Wednesday, January 6
Something about this sign and the building itself draws me to this. I also wanted to use the sign and structure to test out some Photoshop effects I've been messing with lately. What do you think?
Thursday, January 7
And here's the second night shot of the rink. I prefer this one.

Friday, January 8
I shot the backdrop for this image on this date and the multiples of "C," are from another day. Lately I've been really into trying new things with combining my photography with different designs and effects.

Saturday, January 9
First time sledding. She wasn't really into it at all. I think she just wondered why we would want her to be so cold. The pose she's striking here out of shock to her system, is classic. It's as if she's saying, "Are you kidding me? Pick me up and let's get inside." Right after I took this, she started pointing to my mother-in-laws' house for us to take her in. Better luck next time I guess.

Sunday, January 10
This image will get double usage. Not only is it my shot for today (obviously), I also plan to submit it to Threadless.com to see if they'll use it in their advertising for the Threadless shirt Hallie is wearing. If they do, I get some $!

WEEK TWENTY:

Monday, December 28
Frozen pipes=no water in the kitchen for almost two days.

Tuesday, December 29
After years of hearing about how they used to freeze over Merlin Olsen park for ice skating in the winter, but never experiencing it, they finally did it again! I've yet to touch a skate to the ice, but alas, I hope to soon.
Sometime this coming week I plan to get a night shot of all the ice skaters.

Wednesday, December 30
The photo I had planned on taking this day didn't work out due to the overnight snow, so this is what I ended up with and actually quite like it.

Thursday, December 31
New Year's Eve! Well, not really. To be honest, after finally getting the little one down for the night, talking with the sitter (thanks Grandma Pam) and heading out to a party, I didn't feel like turning around and heading back home to grab the camera. This shot was actually shot on New Year's Day, but it is what I would have shot on New Year's Eve, so I'm counting it and there's nothing you can do about it.
The shot itself only somewhat worked. My glorious idea was to simulate a party popper shooting out of my good friend's mouth, but in retrospect, I should have set my aperture differently to bring the confetti in to focus better. Live and learn (hopefully, right?).

Friday, January 1
What better way to celebrate the new year, then by having a RAD Craft Night and making t-shirts and/or any craft you can dream up?

Saturday, January 2
Friends.
The holidays are not only a great time of year to see family, but also the friends that come back home for the holidays.
We had a dinner at our place to get everyone together since our friends Austin, Jessica and Andy were in from out of town. It was fabulous. Absolutely fabulous.

Sunday, January 3
The two ladies in my life. I'm one lucky guy.
